Nevada Concealed Carry Weapons Course

Course Length: 8 hours full class / 4 hours renewal

The Nevada Concealed Carried Weapon Course is designed for anyone wishing to apply for a Nevada CCW permit.  This curriculum is based upon thousands of hours of refinement in both the law enforcement and civilian defensive training sectors.  Students will be presented with the material and repetitions to feel confident in effectively deploying and using their pistol.

This course starts at the Washoe County Shooting Facility at 8:00am and runs till 4:00pm. The course will consist of 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of range work. Students must pass a written test and firearms qualification.

For individuals wishing to renew their NV CCW permit, you will start at 10:00 am and run till 2:00pm, with Legal Update and completing a Firearms Qualification.

    Handgun 1

    Handgun 1 is designed to provide students with foundational level material focusing on preparing students to employ their handgun for daily carry or duty use. Handgun 1 is appropriate for students with little to no formal firearms training or for those looking to refresh the fundamentals.  Students will be presented with the material and repetitions to feel confident in effectively using their handgun.

      Course Description

      Shoot house 2 is a multifaceted course designed to build upon the concepts covered in our Shoot House and Low Light courses.  This curriculum is designed to prepare the Citizen, Law Enforcement Officer or Military Personnel to apply effective tactics in complex environments. Students will work with both Rifle and Handgun during this course.  Students will also work on honing their skills in a low light environment.  This is an advanced course requiring students to demonstrate exceptional firearms safety and manipulation.

      Course Description

      Red Dot Handgun is designed to provide students with information and skills specific to the usage of Red Dot Equipped Handguns.  Curriculum will cover all aspects of RDS handgun implementation including: Mounting, care, maintenance, zeroing and equipment selection.  Students will learn RDS handgun theory and will work through extensive repetitions to build competency with their platform.

      Intermediate Distance Rifle

      Course Length: 8 hours

      Course Description

      Intermediate Distance Rifle focuses on Rifle engagements at distances from 0300+ yards.  This course focuses on the use of Low Power Variable Magnification Optics (LPVO) and Magnified Red Dot optic platforms.  Students will learn the theory behind longer distance engagements and necessary skill sets to succeed in this environment.  Courses of fire will stress the correct application of learned skills and students will have ample opportunity to test their individual rifle setups while comparing them to other available options.

      Course Description

      Night Vision 1 is designed to focus on the manipulation of and practical application of NVG systems.  Curriculum will cover NVG and MFAL (Multifunction Aiming Laser) manipulation techniques as well as MFAL zeroing theory and techniques.  The course includes extensive manipulation and live fire range drills designed to build a solid foundation of competency in no-light environments.

      Night Vision 2 is a course designed to build upon the concepts covered in our Night Vision 1 Course.  This is a tactics and theory-based course stressing the development of night vision device usage.  Students will increase competency with their NVG unit, MFAL, Rifle and Handgun though specific drills designed to reinforce the concepts and fundamentals.  Students will learn to work with their NVG system in a multitude of environments including the shoot house.  This is an advanced course requiring students to demonstrate exceptional firearms safety and manipulation.

      Required equipment

      • Rifle with at least 3 magazines (Rifle must have a sling)
        • Rifle needs to be zeroed prior to the class
        • MFAL (Multifunction Aiming Laser)
      • Rifle mounted light and sufficient batteries (Required)
      • Night Vision Unit
        • Helmet or skullcrusher with shroud
        • Night vision mount and JArm
      • Handgun with at least 3 magazines
      • Holster and magazine pouches (At least one pistol pouch and one rifle pouch)
        • Holster must attach to the belt and provide sufficient retention to prevent the firearm from falling out during moderate physical activity. SERPA style holsters will not be permitted.
      • Handgun mounted light (Recommended) and sufficient spare batteries
      • Handheld flashlight and sufficient spare batteries (Required)
      • Headlamp or small task light for administrative functions
      • Eye protection
      • Electronic hearing protection
      • Weather appropriate clothing
        • Pants, long sleeve shirts and hats are recommended
      • Close toed shoes
      • Plate carrier with armor (recommended)
      • Ballistic Helmet (recommended)
      • 300-500 rounds rifle ammunition (No green tip or armor piercing ammunition)
      • 100 rounds handgun ammunition

      Private Firearms Training – 2‑Hour Session

      A focused, individualized training block designed to address specific skills or performance goals.       Private Firearms Training – 4‑Hour Session

This session is well‑suited for students seeking to advance their capabilities beyond foundational skills, including movement‑based drills, manipulations, decision‑making exercises, and scenario‑driven training. The extended format provides time for repetition, evaluation, and refinement, ensuring measurable improvement and increased confidence.

      Private Firearms Training – 8‑Hour Session

      A full‑day immersive training program tailored to the student’s specific goals and operational needs. This session supports complete curriculum development, advanced tactics, team‑based concepts (if applicable), and extensive live‑fire application. Students benefit from sustained coaching, detailed performance analysis, and a wide variety of drills designed to enhance proficiency, efficiency, and real‑world readiness. This option is ideal for individuals or small teams seeking professional‑level instruction and maximum return on investment.
